For most of us, it is clear that our environment matters to future generations and those experiencing climate disaster, floods and severe drought. But not everyone sees the critical link between the air we breath and the health we enjoy; the water we drink and the blood that runs through us; the soil that grows our food and the bones that grow us. From pollution to plastics to the art on our wall, let's get down to the dirty truth about healthy environments nurture our health. Fabulous speakers (Joel Sprechman, Dr. Bruce Bekkar, Ravi Bejaj), yoga, live painting, and healthy treats by Vivacious Dish delight and excite.

10/12/16 T. Short Gallery and Conscious Lounge, 1970 Columbia Street Suite A, San Diego, 7pm (LTATW Series)

Water manages to define life here on planet Earth, and it knows no borders. What better a way to kick off a mixed-media environment series than with a discussion on innovative drought solutions brought to us from Israel by Kristen Victor, live musical performance on topic such as the Central American Drought, frack water 101, and storytelling by a Border Angels organizer about placing water for desperate migrants in border region deserts?

The only way we could possibly quench your thirst more is to throw in some atmospheric water for your reusable water bottle brought to you by environmental engineer Peter Ghiula, and eco-artistic collaboration over a delicious brew of organic kombucha, kava or cappuccino.

We look forward to your presence at the first of Ashley Mazanec's Let's Talk About the Weather Series at T. Short Galleries, a conscious lounge in Little Italy.

Admission: $15-$20 Suggested Donation
